Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

 

The summer is winding down and I hope  you are relaxing and enjoying this time before school begins.  I am extremely excited for the new school year and am looking forward to meeting you all on Thursday, August 29th.   It is going to be a great year as we get back in the classroom together, ready to learn and have fun!!

 

My name is Christine Cochran and I am the 7th grade In Class Resource teacher in House 7-1 for Social Studies and Science. This year I will be co-teaching in Social Studies classes with Ms. Kozimor (House 7-2) periods  1 & 6,  Ms. Pickard (House 7-3) period 3, and Mrs. Roskie (House 7-1) period 5 & 8.  As Co-teachers, we will be working together to assist in your child's success this school year!  Students will be provided with additional information regarding specific supplies needed for each subject area on the first day of school.  Please bring a notebook, pen/pencil, your smiles, and get ready for a great school year as you begin on Thursday, August 29th.

 

Communication between parents and teachers is essential in order to help children be successful in school.  Google Classroom is the platform used in each class to check for daily assignments and for links associated with what we are working on in class and for the online textbook in social studies.  In addition, my website can be accessed by going to www.wtschools.org, choosing "Long Valley Middle School",  from the top right of the screen, then from the Quick Links tab on the left click "Staff Websites", click on "Cochran, Christine". 

 

With the start of this school year, please never hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have now or during the school year.  The quickest method to contact me is through e-mail, since I can check that a few times throughout the day, whereas I usually will not get voicemails until the end of the day.  However, feel free to contact me in any method that is convenient for you.  My email address is [email protected] and my phone number is 908-876-3434 X1285.

 

I am extremely excited for this upcoming school year and look forward to working with you and your children this year.   We are going to have a fantastic year and I am really excited to meet everyone!!!
