The Wilson Reading System (WRS) is a multi-sensory, research-based reading and writing program. It is a complete curriculum for teaching decoding (sounding out words) and encoding (spelling), beginning with phoneme segmentation. WRS directly teaches the structure of words in the English language so that students master the coding system for reading and spelling.
The PCI Reading Program is a scientifically research-based curriculum designed to help nonreaders become successful readers.
The three-level program incorporates high-frequency words and real-world words within a comprehensive program of instruction, practice, and assessment. Nonreaders of all ages become readers through a system of repetition, hands-on practice, errorless discrimination, controlled reading, and high-interest activities.
Fundations
Fundations is a structured literacy program from Wilson Language Training that teaches foundational skills in reading, spelling, and handwriting to students in Pre-K through 3rd Grade. Using multisensory techniques and a Structured Literacy approach grounded in the science of reading, it aims to prevent reading failure by providing explicit and cumulative instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, and decoding for all students, with additional early intervention for those at risk.
