Preparation and Participation- Students must be on time and prepared for class. Students must change their clothes for Physical Education. Jewlery, gum/candy are not allowed during class time. Acceptable Physical Education clothing includes, but is not limited to; A t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, shorts, sweatpants. SNEAKERS are a must. If you are not wearing sneakers, you may not participate in Physical Education for that day. Being uprepared means you lose all points that day. This will effect your participation grade.

 

If you are unprepared, you will recieve a 0 for that class period.

 

1st Unprepared- 10 points off 

2nd Unprepared- 10 points off & warning

3rd Unprepared- 10 points off, phone call to parent/guardian, email to guidance

4th Unprepared- 10 points off, phone call to parent/guardian, email to guidance, detention

 

Please keep in mind, just because you change and show up for class, you still MUST participate and give your best effort for full credit!

 

 

Skill Assessment- Students will be tested on their skills learned during each new unit! Students will demonstrate a proficiency in both process and product evaluations:

   a. Process skills assessment: demonstrates students understanding and ability to perform isolated movements that include form and body mechanics related to the skill.

   b. Product skills asessment: provides evidence of the student's ability to apply the skill during warm-up, drills and game play.

   c. There will be a minimum of 5 skill assessments per cycle.

 

 

Written Assessment- Students will be tested cognitively on their knowledge of the material at the end of each unit. Students will apply content knowledge ((history, safety and rules) on a specific unit being taught by completing an assessment with multiple response strategies.
