Frequently Asked Questions

What does my child need to wear to school?

-Pre-K students follow the same dress code as the rest of the school. However, we do recommend easy clothing where our students can be independent with toileting. Examples- no buttons on pants if your child is not able to open them independently yet and velcro shoes if your child is not able to tie shoes yet. We do go outside for two 30 minute time periods in a day (state mandated) as long as the weather allows, so please think about that when choosing clothes and shoes for the day.

How can I volunteer and get involved?

-The Home & School Association is another great way to get involved in Quinton Township School and the community.  They are eager for volunteers and will accept any help/time you can donate.

-In our classroom, we sometimes have opportunities for guest readers.

-Throughout the year, I will let you know when in-class volunteer opportunities arise.

What can I do if my child is having a problem academically, socially, or behaviorally in school?

-Contact me via email, phone, or a note and we will set up a conference to discuss options and solve any problems that may arise.  If it is a serious situation, we will sit down with the building principal, Mrs. Bacon.

Will my child have homework?

- Homework will start after Winter Break. It will consist of one simple activity a few times a week.
