We hope you had an amazing summer filled with sunshine, laughter, family, and friends! It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer flew by, and now it’s time for a brand-new adventure!
We are Mrs. Winters and Mrs. Kaye, and we are absolutely thrilled to be your child’s kindergarten teachers this school year! Kindergarten is such a magical and exciting year, filled with new friendships, big discoveries, lots of learning, and so many special firsts. We can’t wait to meet all of our new kindergarten friends and begin this wonderful journey together!
This year is an important stepping stone as your child continues to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while building the skills they will need for first grade and all the exciting years ahead. Most importantly, we want every child to feel safe, loved, valued, and excited to come to school each day.
Our classroom will be a place where children are encouraged to be curious, take chances, make mistakes, ask questions, and celebrate their successes. We believe that learning is best when we do it together! We will work hard to build a classroom community filled with kindness, respect, encouragement, and lots of positive feedback. We will celebrate each child’s accomplishments and help them recognize just how special and capable they are.
Throughout the year, our kindergarteners will learn through hands-on experiences, play, movement, creativity, and multi-sensory activities. We want to help each child discover their unique strengths and find different ways to use those strengths to grow and succeed. Our goal is not only to help your child become a successful learner, but also to help them develop a genuine love for learning.
We know that a child’s best school experience happens when teachers and families work together, and we are so excited to partner with you throughout this year. There will be plenty of learning, growing, laughing, celebrating, and maybe even a few kindergarten surprises along the way!
Once again, we are so excited to begin this adventure with your children! Thank you for sharing them with us. We look forward to getting to know each of our kindergarteners and their families and making this a year full of wonderful memories.
