Meet Mrs. Garcia

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce your child’s third grade teacher. Mrs. Andrea Garcia was born and raised in Brazil and there, she started her teaching career over 25 years ago.

When Mrs. Garcia moved to the United States, she knew that she had a long road ahead of her in order to be able to teach in a foreign country. However, her passion for teaching kept moving her forward. She went back to school and completed the A.S in Early Childhood Education and the A.A in General Education offered by Edison State College. She continued her education and completed the B.S in Elementary Education K-6 offered by Florida Southwestern State College (formerly known as Edison State College). Mrs. Garcia fluently speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She has been working for The School District of Lee County for the last five years which she considers to be a great learning experience that allows her to work with highly effective professionals in the field of education and inspiring children.

Mrs. Garcia is thrilled by the opportunity to share her passion for teaching with you and your child and to be able to make a difference in the lives of her students by embracing their differences and inspiring them to become successful learners.
