Absences:
Absent notes should be turned in promptly. All assigned work is required to be made up and turned in to receive credit. Junior high students are responsible for contacting the teacher to get missed work. Tests should be made up as soon as possible. Late work is ALWAYS accepted Please check for missing grades in Powerschool and turn them in. Points may be deducted for lateness. Work not submitted before the LPSB grade cut-off date will be entered as a zero. Failure to complete homework can have a negative impact on grades.
Please check grades and attendance in Powerschool weekly. Tests are given regularly. Advance notice is always provided. Test material comes from the Selection text read in class and class notes on the text. Please do not throw away class materials after a test.
Class expectations: Stay seated, show respect, listen to others, be prepared, keep hands/feet to yourself, have a positive attitude
You are to be on-task and work from bell to bell. Bathroom trips should be reserved for emergencies only. Please do not argue, sleep, make disruptive noises, get involved in conversations that do not involve you. Remember: Class disruptions rob students of the education they deserve.
Never allowed: toys, gum, food, drinks, and anything with a heavy smell. Please be aware that body spray and hand sanitizer with a strong smell can trigger asthma attacks, allergic reactions, and migraines for many people.

Academic Dishonesty: Plagiarism, taking someone else’s work and identifying it as your own, is not allowed. If this occurs, a parent will be contacted and the student will earn a zero. The student may earn a 50% if they acceptably complete the assignment after parent contact. This policy includes all classroom/online/remote testing and written assignments.
