Occupational therapy practitioners ask, "what matters to you?" not, "what's the  matter with you?"

AOTA  President Ginny Stoffel

Occupational Therapy is defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association executive board (1976) as, “The therapeutic use of work, self care and play activities to increase development and prevent disability. It may include adaptation of task or environment to achieve maximum independence and to enhance quality of life.” Throughout this school year, I will be working with you, your child, and their teachers to enhance their learning experiences through adaptation, practice, and new strategies.
