Hello and welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Mr. Justin Fiscina, and I am so thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! 

 

While this is my first year teaching 3rd grade, I have been a proud member of the Emma Havens Young Community for 13 years, having previously taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and 4th grade. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Social Studies (6-8) from Kean University; as well as a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University. 

 

My philosophy centers on creating a warm, supportive environment where students can learn from one another and build confidence. Albert Einstein once said, "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." In our classroom, mistakes are just steps on the path to growth, and I want every child to feel safe taking risks, sharing their ideas, and reaching for goals that are both challenging and fully achievable.
