My name is Aida Virginia Roque, and I am your child's 2nd-grade teacher for this school year. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your son/daughter. I know it will be a successful school year full of learning.

I have been employed in the West New York School District for several years. I began employment in the District in 2012 as a Para-Professional in a Special Needs classroom. The experience was valuable both on an academic and personal level. I have a Master's Degree in Education from Saint Peter's University in Jersey City and am certified by the State of New Jersey (K-6). I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University in South Orange. I am the mother of two boys and a resident of West New York. I am also fluent in both Spanish and English languages.

My goal is to instill a love of learning in all of my students and inspire them to play an active role in personally furthering their education. It is my responsibility to create a safe, caring, and stimulating atmosphere through a collaborative effort between teachers and staff, students, and parents/guardians for learning to occur. I will make it my mission for your child to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
