Meet the Teacher!

My name is Aida Virginia Roque, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this school year. I look forward to meeting you and working together to ensure your child has a successful and rewarding school year filled with growth and learning.

I have been part of the West New York School District since 2012, beginning my career as a Para-Professional in a Special Needs classroom—an experience that shaped me both personally and professionally. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University in South Orange. I am certified by the State of New Jersey (K–6). In addition, I am a proud mother of two boys, a West New York resident, and fluent in both English and Spanish.

My teaching philosophy centers on instilling a love of learning in my students and encouraging them to take an active role in their education. I believe that children learn best in a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom—one built through collaboration between teachers, parents/guardians, and students. It is my mission to help your child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am truly looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth together!
