I was hired to work in West Deptford in October 2014, however this is my 17th year teaching! I graduated from Temple University with my Early Childhood/Elementary teaching degree in May 2006.  Immediately after graduating, I took a teaching position in the Philadelphia School District.  I eventually went back and received my Master's degree in Special Education from Holy Family College.  During my tenure in Philadelphia I taught both 2nd and 3rd grade as a regular education teacher.  After receiving my Special Education degree, I became the inclusion teacher that would push into different classrooms, to offer support to the students that needed additional help, in grades K-2.  After being an inclusion teacher for a few years, I was offered a position in a Life Skills classroom in which I taught 3rd-5th grade, special need students, functional academics.

Teaching Special Education is where my heart is.  I exhaust myself trying to find new and creative ways to teach every student to reach their full potential.  I believe that a successful school year is based on a strong home support.  I try my best to keep each of you informed and encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas that will help your child feel loved, valued and successful in my classroom every day.
