GUIDELINES AND CLASS PROCEDURES
You are currently enrolled in Miss Crawford's Math 7 class. Kindly adhere to the following guidelines and you will have a successful year.
1. Please be in your assigned seat and be ready to work at the beginning of each
period. This means notebook & textbook open, homework out, pencil ready to go,
and calculator when appropriate. Stay seated until dismissed at the end of class.
2. Homework is assigned daily and should be done in a notebook used exclusively
for math. Daily assignments should be written down in your agenda book.
Homework will include weekly online assignments. Internet access options include
home, library lunch, homework club and Margate public library.
3. The Notebook: All students are required to maintain a current notebook. The
sequence should be class notes and examples followed directly by daily
homework assignments. Maintenance of the notebook is vital to your success.
When you are absent, you should get all notes and class work missed upon the
day of your return. You will also need a folder for your handouts. Never throw
away any handouts. Your reference sheet must be brought to class daily.
4. Grades are based on a combination of tests, quizzes, projects, homework,
notebook, participation, and preparation. The following is how your grade will be
determined each semester.
TEST Average 60 %
QUIZ Average 40 %
*Project grades will be weighted the same as test/quiz grades.

5. Attendance is a vital part of class participation. If you are absent, call a fellow
student for the assignment. If you are going to be absent due to a field trip or a vacation, you should get your assignments ahead of time. Please give at least three school days notice when going on vacation. They will be due on the day you return to school. Students must be responsible for any make up work due to family vacations, illness, class trips, etc. If you are absent the day of a quiz, test, or any graded assignment, it must be made up on the day that you return to class.
6. You will be tested on your knowledge of all the material learned in this class at the
end of the year.
7. Communication is important. Tests, quizzes, projects, and homework will be posted
on Miss Crawford’s website. You and/or your parents may contact me via the internet at
