Meet the Teacher

Hello, my name is Katelynn Hughes.

This will be my fifth year teaching.  I have experience in Preschool, Kindergarten, Third, and Fourth grade.  I am looking forward to continuing my passion for teaching at Deerfield Township as I am an alumni of DTS myself. 

It is going to be a new and exciting year!  I cannot wait to see how much your child achieves this school year.  First grade is going to be a big jump, but we will take together.  Is it very important for the classroom to extend into home learning.  If your child sees you interested in their learning then they will become more involved inside and outside of the classroom.
