 5th graders are FANTASTIC!

 

Wow!  It's hard to believe it's that time of year again...September!

Hope it was a fantastic summer and you're energized for 5th grade.

I'm looking forward to welcoming each of you to my TEAM.

Get ready for an amazing year filled with fun, adventure, and knowledge!

  

 

We are a TEAM and will move forward with patience, understanding, and kindness.

We will take one day at a time, knowing we will run into challenges but together we will be willing to adjust and be flexible.

Our TEAM will make it a priority to laugh and smile each and every day!

This site needs to be used for ANY technology issues or technology replacements.

 

 

Below are "suggested" supplies to make the 5th grade experience more successful.  Supplies are NOT NECESSARY for the first day of school.  If there is difficulty acquiring supplies, please let me know and I will be more than happy to assist.

 

 

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES FOR  CLASS:

ear buds or headphones (nothing fancy!), scissors, thin dry erase markers, regular pencils (not mechanical), soft pencil case (fits better in desk), crayons or colored pencils or magic markers (choose your favorite!), 1 jumbo book sock, 1 folder with pockets (Friday papers.)  

*All other supplies will be provided.*

 

 

 

TOP PRIORITY:

*Refer to our "Class Handbook" for detailed class expectations, rules  

    and procedures.

*Chrome book MUST be charged at home in preparation for classwork

    use each day. Charging in class is not permitted.

*Google Classroom assignments must be completed for homework if

    Chrome Book is not charged for class.

*Agenda/student planner is used daily to record homework assignments.

*Blue Folder will be provided and used for all homework assignments.

*PHONES are not permitted in class and must remain in student backpacks

    at all times.

*Only WATER is permitted for drinking in the classroom ...sports drinks, 

    juice or soda are not allowed in class.

*Students may bring a "healthy snack" from home each day to eat during 

    snack time. 

 

 

 

WEEKLY SPECIAL SCHEDULE:

Monday: Physical Education - 9:20 to 10:00

Tuesday: Art - 9:20 to 10:00

Wednesday: Physical Education - 9:20 to 10:00

Thursday: Music - 9:20 to 10:00

Friday: World Language - 9:20 to 10:00

 

LUNCH: 12:50 to 1:25

RECESS: 1:25 to 1:55

DISMISSAL: 3:40


 

 

4 "Quick Tips" to promote success: 

1.  Get 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night.

     (Yes! You read that right! Sleep is SO important!)

2.  Practicing multiplication facts for 10 minutes each day is

     highly recommended. 

3.  Reading a book or magazine  for 15 minutes each day is

     highly encouraged.

4.  Studying the location and correct spelling of the 50 states is

     highly suggested.
