🌟 Meet Mrs. Stroup!
Welcome to Room C3!
Hi! My name is Mrs. Stroup, and I am so excited to be back at the Holly Heights Elementary School family as a third grade teacher in Room C3!
I am a proud Millville High School graduate and went on to receive both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
My journey in education actually began right here at Holly Heights way back in 2003. After beginning at Holly Heights and then teaching in private schools for a few years, I went on to spend over ten years at Lakeside Middle School. Returning to Holly Heights feels like coming home, and I am excited to begin this next chapter teaching third grade!
❤️ My Family & Our Farm
When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my husband and our two sons, Jaxon and Colton. We live on a little farm, so life at home is always busy, and there is never a dull moment!
We love spending time outdoors, working on our farm, and making memories together. I love that our home is a little bit of chaos, a lot of hard work, and always an adventure!
🏃♀️ My Big Goal
I am currently training for my first marathon, a 26.2-mile race!
Training for a marathon takes a lot of hard work, patience, and perseverance. Some days are easier than others, but I'm learning that reaching a big goal happens one step at a time.
I hope to bring that same mindset into our classroom this year. Whether we're working through a challenging book, writing a story, learning something new, or trying something that feels difficult, we'll remind ourselves that we don't have to be perfect; we just have to keep moving forward one step at a time.
📚 Why I Love Teaching
I believe that every child can learn, grow, and accomplish amazing things when they are surrounded by people who believe in them.
As your child's teacher, my goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe, welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. Third grade is such an important year for growing as readers, writers, thinkers, and learners, and I am so excited to be part of that journey.
I also strongly believe that education works best when teachers and families work together. I look forward to building a strong partnership with you and supporting your child throughout the school year. It truly takes a village.

📚 I love: Reading, learning, spending time with my family, and cheerleading (I was the head coach at Lakeside for years, bringing home several national champion titles!)
🏃♀️ Currently: Training for my first 26.2-mile marathon
🐴 At home: We have a little farm with lots of animals and grow a ton of food
📣 Fun fact: I've been cheering since I was 12!

🌱 Favorite place to be: Outside enjoying our farm, on a hike, and making memories with my family
