Welcome to Intervention!
The intervention program is designed to give students an extra boost in language arts and/or mathmatics instruction. My primary role is to provide targeted instruction and supplemenatry interventions in small group and individual settings.
In language arts, my goal is to help your child love to read by giving them the tools they need to read with ease. Throughout the year we will work towards acquiring the necessary skills needed for reading. This includes focused instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
In mathematics, my goal is to help your child develop a strong number sense and pre-requisite skills that assist them in finding success in classroom lessons.
I will identify your child's area of need using ongoing assessments. I will continue to adjust your child's goals throughout the year to ensure they are progressing. Finally, I will strive to provide engaging lessons with multisensory activities in order to keep your child motivated and interested.

Family: Husband, daughter, son and two dogs
