This course is designed to introduce students to business principles and knowledge of basic business practices. During this course we will be managing and operating an actual school based business — The Green and White Cookie Site. Just like a regular business, this school-based and student-run business aims to provide products and services to its target market. While working in the business students will learn valuable skills and knowledge about starting, owning, and managing a business. This class will involve hands-on learning but we will also focus on learning important business vocabulary, accounting principles, marketing and advertising techniques as well as communication, social and managerial skills. One of the most important skills and qualities for students to have in this class is honesty and a strong work ethic. Students are expected to work in the best interest of the school business and to uphold high ethical standards.
