Dear Fabulous 4th Graders,

 

I hope you are having an enjoyable and relaxing summer and are beginning to think about preparing for another great year of learning at Stony Brook.  I am thrilled to welcome you to your Fourth Grade year!

 

As you may have heard, our fourth-grade schedule will differ slightly from that of third grade.  Language Arts will be with Mrs. Havens in our classroom, and Math and Science/Social Studies in Mrs. Hammill’s room.   During our first days together, we will discuss our schedules in more detail and address any questions you may have.  

  

Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st. Please bring your backpack, water bottle, a healthy snack, and your lunch (or be prepared to buy lunch from the school cafeteria).  We have lunch at 10:30 this year, so we will have our snack in the afternoon.  Please refer to the  Fourth Grade Supply List - Fall 2026 for items you will need this year.

 

Enjoy the rest of your summer break, and we will see you at Stony Brook on September 1st! I look forward to meeting you on our first day and beginning an amazing fourth-grade year together!
