Please view my Welcome Letter below.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and I look forward to meeting you on Tuesday, September 2nd for the first day of school!
Welcome to Second Grade!
Dear Second Grader,
Welcome to our 2F class community! I am excited to have you as my student and we are going to have a wonderful year together!
I hope you had a fantastic summer! I love to travel and went on two trips this summer; one to Calgary, Canada, en route to the Canadian Rocky Mountains and Maine to visit my family. I hiked and camped for 7 nights in Banff, Jasper, and Yoho National Parks. Highlights were the beautiful scenery, seeing a moose, black bear, glaciers, and turquoise lakes. It was the perfect wilderness trip.
This school year will be my 18th year teaching, 17th at Stony Brook, and 14th year in 2nd grade. I went to The College of New Jersey and studied Elementary Education and Psychology. During that time, I was a track and cross country athlete as well. A few years ago, I received my Master of Education in Elementary Education from The American College of Education.
Some activities I enjoy are running, hiking, traveling, exploring new places, spending time outside and with family and friends. I want to learn about you and how you spent your summer. Please complete the All About Me.pdf and bring it to school on the first day. If you are unable to print it, I will have extra copies on the desk outside my classroom if you visit for the open house on August 26th.
I look forward to meeting you on the first day of school and having a great school year together! Welcome to 2nd grade!
Sincerely your teacher,
Ms. Fasulo
