Dear Second Grader,

Welcome to your second grade school year! I am so excited to have you as a student and to start this new adventure with you.  I can't wait to watch you learn and grow!  This year, your new classroom is located in room 134.    Our room is at the end of the hallway, near the small playground.

I hope you have had a fun-filled and adventurous summer. I sure did! I love to travel and spend time doing things outisde.  Most of my summer was spent working on our family horse farm. I visted the beach in Florida and did a lot of local day trips with my husband and children,  Gavin and Rowan.  I love sports, reading, and animals. I am big fan of the Eagles and Phillies.  My son, just started his first year at the Naval Academy and he is also on the wrestling team, so I am sure you will hear a lot about that.   My daughter, is 16 and will be in 11th grade and you will certainly enjoy watching some of her horse videos.   It was not long ago that my children were in second grade and they often remind me that learning can be fun, so I promise to try my best!

Boys and Girls, I can't wait to get to know you better and to hear all about the fun things you did over the summer. My emails is [email protected].  Feel free to send me a picture of a favorite summer memory or to share some fun things about yourself. Seeing your face will help me feel less shy on the first day, so you are welcome to send me a short video clip.

On the first day, please bring yourself, a smile, and a snack. Below is the supply list for second graders.

Keep making memories! You have a few more days of summer!
