Dear Second Grader,

Welcome to your second grade school year! I am so excited to have you as a student and to start this new adventure with you.  I can't wait to watch you learn and grow!  This year, your new classroom is located in room 134. We have some other teacher that will be working with us and I can't wait for us all to get to know one another.   Our room is at the end of the hallway, near the small playground.

All of us teachers, hope you have had a fun-filled and adventurous summer. I sure did! I love to travel and spend time doing things outisde.  Most of my summer was spent working on our family horse farm. I visted the beach and did a lot of local day trips with my husband and children,  Gavin and Rowan.  I love sports, reading, and animals. I am big fan of the Eagles and Phillies.  My son, is going to wrestle for the Navy, so I am sure you will hear a lot about that.  I think it is important to enjoy learning, so I promise to try my best to make learning fun!

Boys and Girls, I can't wait to get to know you better and to hear all about the fun things you did over the summer. My emails is [email protected].  Feel free to send me a picture of a favorite summer memory or to share some fun things about yourself. Seeing your face will help me feel less shy on the first day, so you are welcome to send me a short video clip.

On the first day, please bring yourself, a smile, and a snack. If you are able, please bring a pair of easily identifiable headphones and a pencil box or case.   The headphones will be kept in school to use with your chromebook. The store, "Five Below" has some inexpesive options. I do have some extras, so don't worry if you are unable to get these items.

Keep making memories! You have a few more days of summer!

Your Teacher,

Mrs. Cole
