Dear 3H Students,

Welcome to third grade! I am looking forward to having you in my class this year! I hope you have had a fantastic summer. I have been very busy getting our class ready for lots of fun and learning, and I can't wait for you to see it!  You might be wondering what you will need for school on the first day. The most important thing to bring is your smile! You will also need to bring a few other things, but it is not necessary that you have them right away. These things are:

                 1 - 3 subject notebook with pockets

                 1  - black composition notebooks-100pgs

1 - sharpie ultra-fine point permanent black marker

                 1 - package of 3 x 3 post-it notes

1 - pencil box or other container to hold supplies

1 - set of headphones (they will be kept in your desk and will be used when using the chromebooks)

If you would like to bring pencils, crayons, colored pencils, a pair of scissors, a glue stick, or a ruler, that's fine, too, but not necessary as we have these supplies in our room. Please do not bring in magic markers.

I have a nature shelf set up in our classroom and I would love for you to bring in a beloved object from nature because you think it's beautiful, or it makes you wonder or amazes you. Whatever you choose, it should have a story, a wonder, or a memory attached to it. We will share our objects and set them on the nature shelf the first day of school.

We have lunch in the middle of the day, so please bring in a healthy snack so you can recharge in the afternoon.

Enjoy the last couple of weeks of summer vacation! I hope you are as excited about school as I am! I will meet you outside on the blacktop on Thursday, September 6th, bright and early!
