School Policy Update 2026 from Mr. Billy:

 

Birthday celebrations are special at Bear Tavern! Families who wish to celebrate their child's birthday at school are welcome to send in a non-food item for the classroom. Some ideas include stickers, pencils, bookmarks, books, craft supplies, gifts to the class, or a classroom game. Please do not send food, candy, or individual gifts for students. Participation is completely optional. This is something I will continue to reiterate as we start the year to our students. Please discuss it with your children. Please do not put me in the position of telling your child, who is so excited to bring in a box of donuts or share a tray of cupcakes, that they can't share and must take them home. This is the rule. If these items arrive, you put us in a very difficult position. I ask that you respect these new rules.
