Dear Students & Parents:
Currently all ESL students at HHS receive a lot of support in their acquisition of the English language. Not only will your child be enrolled in an ESL class, but he/she will also take a variety of sheltered courses with skilled SIOP teachers. In addition, ESL teachers currently push-in to academic courses to provide language support. As a result, ESL students have access to a lot of comprehensible input which enables them to succeed in many of their academic classes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the number/email above. Thank you kindly.
PARENT PORTAL
Please access PARENT PORTAL in order to view your child's grades. This online website allows
parents/students to also see descriptions of assignments and comments about particular tasks and/or effort and behavior. PARENT PORTAL offers this information in many different languages. At the high school level, it is especially important to monitor your child's performance since there are numerous graduation requirements. If you do not have access to PARENT PORTAL, please contact Shelly McPherson at 908-352-7664 ext 8400.
