ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE is a five credit course that focuses on the biological, chemical, and physical principles to the study of the physical environment and the solution to environmental problems including subjects such as abating or controlling environmental pollution and degradation; the interaction between human society and the natural environment; and natural resources management.

 

The course includes the instructions in chemistry, biology, physics, astronomy, climatology, hydrology, and geology. Scientific knowledge and cooperative learning skills are developed through laboratory work. The use of critical thinking, literacy, mathematics, history, economics, and other fields will be used in the course to augment the main topic areas of study. Students’ grades are based primarily on classwork/homework, quizzes/tests, projects, and exams.
