Alternate ACCESS Score Reports
Individual Student Scores Domain Scores (PER WIDA- www.wida.us)
The Individual Student Report contains detailed information about a student’s performance on each section of Alternate ACCESS for ELLs.
It is primarily for students, parents or guardians, teachers, and IEP teams. It provides a snapshot of how well the student understands and can produce the language needed to access the academic content presented in an English language classroom.
The Individual Student Report shows a proficiency level and a scale score for each of the four language domains (per WIDA):
- Listening
- Speaking
- Reading
- Writing
Students will receive scores for their language based on their test. Proficeinty level scores will describe a student's performance in terms of the five WIDA Alternate English Language Proficiency Levels:
Level 1: Entering
Level 2: Emerging
Level 3: Developing
Level 4: Expanding
Level 5: Bridging
Alternate ACCESS proficiency levels are unique. A student who scores a PL1 Entering on Alternate ACCESS is not necessarily performing at the same level as a student who scores at the Entering proficiency level on ACCESS Online or ACCESS Paper. (WIDA)
