Welcome to Señora Curiel’s Spanish Class!

My name is Ms. Curiel, and I have the privilege of serving as your child’s Spanish teacher this academic year. I am dedicated to fostering both language proficiency and cultural awareness, and I look forward to guiding students as they strengthen their communication skills in Spanish.

Instructional Focus
In Spanish class, students will develop their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Instruction is organized around meaningful themes such as family, school, hobbies, and food. Through interactive activities and projects, students will be encouraged to apply the language in practical contexts while gaining an appreciation of Hispanic culture.

Learning Resources

• Textbook: Descubre el Español con Santillana

• Online Platform: Google Classroom will be used to post assignments, announcements, and instructional resources. Please ensure your child accesses it regularly.

• Additional Resources: Supplemental materials, including interactive websites and language practice applications, will be provided to reinforce learning. Links will be made available on the class platform.

Homework and Assessments
Homework will be assigned weekly to strengthen understanding of classroom material. Assessments will include quizzes, tests, oral presentations, and projects. Regular review of notes and consistent practice at home are strongly recommended.
