About me:
I am a Bayonne native having attended St. Joseph's for 5 years and graduated from Henry Harris and Bayonne High School. I continued my education at NJCU with a degree in Criminal Justice. After several years at my job, I decided to pursue my love for instructing children by obtaining a Master's of Arts degree in Teaching specializing in Physical Education from Montclair State University.
Growing up, I was always involved in a sport or activity. At Henry Harris, I excelled in cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, and softball. I was the feature baton twirler at Bayonne HS and part of the color guard spinning the flag and sabre. Winter Guard and gymnastics also played a role in my athletic career. Growing up I studied several styles of dance including ballet and jazz. As an adult I took up pointe, lyrical, modern, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, some of which I studied and performed in college. But my heart lies with Baton Twirling. I began my twirling career at 5 and continued to compete on the National and World level until I was 34. I have been a twirling coach for over 20 years and continue to pass on my expertise to children of all ages. I truly believe being active on team sports has helped me grow into the person I am today.
