Language Arts:
Students in this class will be utilizing a reading intervention program called Just words. This program is based on direct teacher instruction, including whole and small group lessons, that incorporates a multi-sensory approach to building reading skills. In addition, students will also follow the 6th grade ELA curriculum and complete computer-based assignments using IXL.com. As part of the ELA curriculum, we will complete novel studies together throughout the school year.
Students should be checking Google Classroom and Clever each day for assignments and announcements, even when absent. Grades will be updated on a weekly basis in Infinite Campus.
Grading Scale:
Assignments - 70%
Assessments - 30%
