Dear Students & Families,

Welcome to Third Grade!  I hope this letter finds you well, and that each of you had the opportunity to enjoy some fun in the sun this summer.  I am busy getting the classroom ready, and have lots of new school supplies waiting for you inside your desk.  Click on the tab for a list of additional supplies you may wish to purchase.  If possible, please also bring in a favorite book that you have read over the summer.

Our lunch this year will be at 12:55, so we will be having a morning snack daily.  Please remember to pack a healthy snack and refillable water bottle each day.  We do have students with allergies, so please check to make sure all snacks are nut (peanut/ tree nut/ sesame seed) free.

I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  Let me take a minute to introduce myself.  This will be my  18th year at JFK.  I have taught different grade levels, but have been teaching 3rd grade for the past fourteen years.  I love spending time with my family.  I have a daughter, Gabby, who is going into 12th grade and a son, Leo, who is entering 9th grade.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and doing crafts.  I also have many pets, including a dog, three cats, and a bird.

Ms. Panatieri will also be working with students in our class.  We are excited to be working together and looking forward to getting to know each of you.

I can’t wait to meet you!  The first day of school is Tuesday, September 2nd. I will be standing outside the classroom door C-7 waiting for you to arrive!

I am looking forward to a memorable and successful school year together.

Warm regards,

Mrs. Randazzo
