• Home, school or community field response available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help children and youth who experience emotional or behavioral crises. The services are designed to defuse an immediate crisis, keep children and their families’ safe, and maintain the children in their own homes or current living situation within the community.
• Responds to mental health/ behavioral crisis within 1 hour for children 3-21
• Stabilizes youth and family through linkage to formal (Intensive In-Community Clinician and/or Behavioral Assistant) and informal supports (up to 8 weeks of support from CIS and linkage to resources then transition out or to a different level of care as needed)

• Family-run, county-based organization that provides direct family-to-family peer support, education, advocacy and other services to family members of children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Provides free workshops on topics such as support for parents/caregivers, parenting skills, advocacy, special education, legal guidance and financial literacy
• Provides English and Spanish speaking support groups
• Provides a weekly youth advocacy support group known as the Youth Partnership (YP) program

• Responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and assessing for child welfare concerns. If necessary, DCP&P arranges for the child's protection and the family's treatment needs.

• Ensures permanency through intervention services, reunification with biological parents, adoption or other legal means.
• Provides services for children birth through 21 years old.

This book is written for teens, but it is an excellent read for parents as well. She goes over what is happening in the brain when an individual has anxiety in a easy to understand manner, and then connects it to strategies to help navigate the anxiety.
