Games/Activities to play with our sight words:

*Rainbow write your words in your journal.

*Write the words on index cards, have a grown-up tape (or hide them) around the house.  You may only collect the words you can find and READ! Turn the lights off and play with a flashlight for EXTRA fun!

*Sort your words by syllables or by the number of letters they have.

*Spill & shake: put your words in a cup/container, shake them up, spill them out.  Read only the words that land facing up.  Continue until the cup is empty.

*Go outside and write your words with chalk.

*Use these Jack Hartman video #1 and Jack Hartman Video #2 to review our sight words.  You can pause the video throughout and have your child find the words in a book.

*Sight Words Smash (online game)

*Education.com: This is a great resource for fun educational games that are free. All you need to do is when you hit play on your first game it will ask for an email and to create a password. Then you have access to some games.
