Welcome to the Monroe City Schools Itinerant Pre K World. After 26 years in the of teaching I get to share my love of little ones and the way a certain population of them learn. I started out in Morehouse Parish teaching birth to 3 year olds and after six years I made the move to the Monroe City Schools Itinerant Program, where I began to teach 3-5 year olds with developmental delays. This Program has given me the opportunity to serve this age group in their homes, daycares, and Headstart. Which also allows me to get to know my students and where they come from. So by teaching in their natural environment I get to know their caretakers on a very personal level.
I will be posting activities for this age group for extra practice and future learning experiences.
I work closely with our Program Director, gifted Speech therapist, and the three movers of the group: Adaptive Physical Education teacher, Physical Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.
