PARENTS: I HAVE MADE FIVE ASSIGNMENTS ON ALEKS FOR MY STUDENTS TO WORK ON, IN ADDITION TO COMPLETING FIVE TOPICS PER WEEK. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THEIR GRADES AT THIS TIME. PACKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020.
THIS WILL GO TOWARDS GRADE RECOVERY FOR STUDENTS THAT NEED IT.

Homelearning:
Homelearning assignments are given Monday through Thursday. Assignments are an extension of lessons that were taught during class. We go over assignments the next day to review and clarify misconceptions. Homework is given a grade for completion. The last several problems assigned are ILEAP review questions. Uncompleted homework must be completed by the next day and will be given ONLY half credit. Students with excused absentences will be given more time to make up assignments.
NO HOMEWORK POLICY:
IN AN EFFORT TO HELP YOU SUCCED IN PASSING THE LEAP, I HAVE A STRICT NO HOMEWORK POLICY.
HOMEWORK NOT COMPLETED REQUIREMENTS:
1. STAMP IN PLANNER INDICATING THE ASSIGNMENT WAS NOT COMPLETED.
2. PARENTAL OR GUARDIAN SIGNATURE.
3. ASSIGNMENT COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING DAY.
(ALONG WITH ANY ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS)
4. PHONE CALL HOME IF ANY OF THE ABOVE IS NOT COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING DAY.
AFTERSCHOOL DETENTION WILL BE ASSIGNED FOR ANY MISSING ASSIGNMENT THAT HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED!
YOU MUST SHOW YOUR WORK IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT.
Sponge:
Sponge is an activity conducted at the beginning of each class. Students are to complete three to four problems as a review of previous lesson or Leap/iLeap review. You must show your work and a daily grade will be given.
Positive Behavior
Once again this year Positive Behavior Rewards will be given to deserving students. Parents ask your child how many Dragon Bucks they have received so far. To earn Dragon Bucks, I will be looking for students that are being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn! Rewards are given for random acts of kindness also!
