Classroom RULES and REGULATIONS

             Class begins AT THE BELL!! Be on time and in your seat by the time the bell rings.  If you are not, you are considered tardy and will be marked accordingly unless a viable excuse/pass is provided. Masks and social distancing will continue in the classroom. Sanitizing materials are available, as well as extra masks.

  1. Turn your phones off or to silent!  No usage during the class or it will go to your VP.
  2. This room will be kept clean; no candy wrappers, empty bottles, writing on desk, etc. will be tolerated.
  3. Passes to leave the classroom are for emergencies only.
  4. Please be courteous to other students, proper behavior is expected at all times.  You are accountable for all of your actions.
  5. You are responsible for bring a notebook, binder, and writing implement every day.  All homework and class assignments shall be kept in your notebook in a neat and orderly fashion.
  6. Computers shall be used for the purpose of research and other educational purposes.  Games, messages/email, and improper web searches will not be tolerated.  Misuse of computers will result in disciplinary actions.
  7. You must complete homework and assignments on time/day due.  Homework and assignments will be counted and graded as given.  Late assignments will lose 20 points for everyday past the due date.  1 day -20, 2 days -40, etc… You are responsible to ask me what you have missed on day’s absent/missed classes, please let me know so I can post assignments on GC for you to do when you are absent.
  8. Books are to stay in class, unless arrangements made with me to sign them out to complete missed work/assignments.  You will get your own E book (in Google Classroom).
  9. Everyday you arrive to class you are required to start the “Do Now” in GOOGLE CLASSROOM.  The daily “Objective, Learning Goal, Essential Question, and Strategies” will be written on the front board (facing the front).  “Homework” and “Due assignements/Tests”, when applicable will be written and announced in Google CR.
  10. Attendance and tardiness: The policy of the Brick Township Board of Education Policy will be followed and enforced.  You will get missed work, but need a note for it to be graded.
  11. Test and quizzes shall be given at the completion of each work study area.  Outside reading and projects will be facilitated by the teacher and are to be completed on time and meet all requirements set forth prior to the assignment.

Grading:

    1. Formative Assessments: End of Unit, Tests, etc- 50%
    2. Summative Assessments: Quizzes- 40%
    3. Classwork, written assignments, outside research, participation- 10%

                 

  1. Each significant violation of the above procedures/rule will be recorded and the appropriate disciplinary action may occur.  Appropriate action can include classroom detention, notification of parent, or referral to proper administrator.
