The Growth Mindset
Carol Dweck, a Stanford University psycologist, identified what she called a differentiation of "mindset". By acknowledging a child's engagement and perseverance in a task, it will motivate our kids to reach their goals and help to foster a resilient learner. The growth mindset believes intelligence can improve with study and practice. In the classroom, we will discuss and practice a growth mindset.
