This year we will be using the book series Go Math. There are 2 comsumable textbooks that will remain in school.

Students will be working on Real World situations to see how math is used in real life.

We will be reviewing all of our multiplication and division facts throughout the year.

Students should continue to study their multiplication and division facts to keep their skills sharp!!

We will be using online programs such as ST Math and I Ready. These programs can be accessed through Clever on your child's chromebook.

Students must have completed at least 40 minutes per week of ST Math. ST Math helps students work on their problem solving skills.

On I Ready, students can work on their My Path which is a customized math journey. Students will also periodically receive teacher assigned lessons to complete on I Ready. Students should be completing a minimum of 45 minutes on I Ready weekly.

Students should be using their study guides to help prepare for upcoming assessments. Study guides are the best resource the students have to prepare!

Please remember that Homework must be completed.  Points are lost for missing homework assignments.

SCIENCE: In Science, students will be learning about Changes to Earth's Surface. Students will be able to identify the processes that change Earth's surface such as weathering, erosion & deposition. They will examine real world examples of each of these processes and learn ways to prevent them from happening. The kids will be doing many hands on activities to understand concepts taught. Please have them review the vocabulary from the lessons on the Vocab Chart glued into their notebook. They can always visit the Ed Science Website (go to Clever & click the Ed Science app) to review videos we have watched in class as well. Students can also reinforce concepts by visiting Science IXL.
