Grade 7 World History: 

 

Dear Grade 7 Student and Family,

 

Welcome to World History. In this class we will be examining the combined history of all people – the history of humanity. World History helps us understand how people got to where we are today by informing us about the lives and accomplishments of people from the past. 

 

Over the next few weeks, our World History class will be focusing on the changes that occurred when humans progressed from being hunter-gatherers to living and working in farming societies.

 

As the year continues, we will learn about ancient human civilizations which developed in  different river valleys around the world. 

We will also learn about the cultures of ancient civilizations and the development of various world religions. In addition, we will study the features of classical civilizations, such as India, China, Greece, and Rome.

 

If you have any questions about anything we are doing in class, please do not hesitate to ask questions. I’m looking forward to working with you and your family throughout the school year, and I’m sure, by working together, we will have a successful school year.
