To Earn all your Points COMPLETE all SECTIONS OF THE WORKSHEET.

 

For Introduction to Engineering,  I provide your first 4 articles/videos/news reports.

 

For Enginerring Design & Development, you should search the weblinks BELOW

to find an article that peeks your Engineering mindset. 

 

1. Attach article to written form from class or OnCourse  (5 BONUS  points)

 

            a. Provide entire article.or the link if digital 

 

            b. Neatly cut article from paper - Do Not Tear.

 

            c. Written paper needs to have article properly cited. You must use MLA

 

                 format for citation! Follow the citation guidelines below:

2. Answer the questions on your Current event worksheet This covers a brief description of what the article is about. (12 points)  (20 points)

 

            a. Should be one paragraph (5-7 sentences)

 

            b. Summarize the main points

 

            c. Use complete sentences, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling

 

 

 

3. Refrain from using I think or I believe, All sentences should refer to what is listed in article like the data are persons involved or topic involved.  You will be penalized 1 point for IT this term is too board. Example ITE the plan the house the Facebook page this news report/station or home owner/ Designer

Since articles will be used in class, this assignment is due at the beginning of assigned dates. We will discuss the articles in class so make sure you fully understand the article and do a complete response. You are not allowed to do a current event on pop culture (sports, television, music, etc.) Choose an article on a topic that interests you! Current event assignments are due at the beginning of class. If you do not complete a current event assignment, you will be excluded from discussion and complete a book work assignment for ½ credit.
