Class work:  Class work consists of writing in your journals daily. Journals will be picked up every 2 weeks for a 100 point grade. You are still responsible for daily journals even if you are absent. Notes are given daily. Quizzes will be given once a week on either the notes or on vocabulary terms. Tests will be given approximately every two weeks. Tests are designed as multiple choice and constructed responses. Homework will consist of review problems/ questions and will be given weekly.

Laboratory Activities:  No horseplay is allowed in the lab! No eating or drinking is allowed in the lab. The instructor reserves the right to remove any student that is a safety hazard from the lab. If the student is removed from the lab, then he or she will receive a zero for that lab activity and will not be allowed to make it up. Students who do not turn in a signed safety contract by their parents and themselves will not participate in lab activities.

Attendance and Tardy Policy:
If you have an excused absent, then you have 5 days to make up the assignments that were missed. Make-up tests and quizzes will be in essay format. A written report will substitute any video quizzes. It is the student’s responsibility to ask what was missed and to complete the assignments.   If you are absent during a lab activity, and then the next lab will count as double. If you are not in class when the bell rings, then you will receive a tardy.

Academic Honesty:  Copying of any homework, class work, tests, etc… for any class is prohibited. Students are not allowed to talk during quizzes or tests. Students who do will receive a zero for that assignment and will receive punish work and parents/guardians will be contacted.
