Hello.  My name is Ida Jones and I am starting my 18th year here at RBCS.  I am excited to continue in my role as the Academic Administrator and am eager to work with our Board of Trustees, administration, teachers, students, parents and community members to develop new and exciting programs for our students aligned with our Strategic Plan.

I began my career in the Little Egg Harbor School District.  While I was there I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in all grades K-6, but spent the bulk of my career as a 4th grade teacher and then as a Literacy Specialist.

I hold a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from (TCNJ) Trenton State College, a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.  I hold New Jersey state certifications as a teacher of Elementary Education grades PK-8, Teacher of Psychology, Supervisor, Principal and  Superintendent.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I am the proud mom of 2 wonderful girls, Emily and Abigail.  Emily attends Lebanon Valley College and is working toward her doctorate in Physical Therapy and Abby attends the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Sciences.  They both enjoy dancing and I love watching them perform.  My husband, Gil, is a Foreign Intelligence Specialist for the Department of Defense and works in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
