Classroom Behavior Plan

 

Class Rules:

1. Listen to your teachers

2. Be nice to others

3. Keep the classroom clean

4. Play safely

 

Consequences:

1. Great day!  ** ALL students start the day on green

2. Verbal warning, reinforce expectations

3. Move card to yellow

4. Verbal warning #2, redirection

5. Move card to red, thinking chair/ lightbulb, note home

 

** Please note that we always give each student a chance to :"move back up" to the previous color on the behavior chart.  For example:  if your child is on red and the behavior improves throughout the day- they likely will get a yellow for the day (instead of red).

 

Do not worry; your child is just learning classroom rules and behavior.  We understand this and will give many opportunities for acquiring these new skills.  We do not rely on strict discipline alone; but believe in patience, hugs, rewards and lots of love!
