The purpose of the Accelerated Reader Program is to empower students to

increase their reading skills by reading

quality children's literature.

 

 

The more a student reads, the better reader he or she will become.

 

 

 

Points:

Students earn points by taking comprehension quizes on books checked

out from the library.

Students earn school incentives for meeting point goals each 9 week period

 Students also earn class incentives for earning perfect scores on comprehension tests.

 

Students with at least 25 AR points with 85% comprehension get to have

their picture, name and number of points posted on the STAR Wall in the main office
