I love teaching! I am married, and we have three grown children. My daughter attends the University of Pittsburgh, and is in the Nursing program. My son and his wife live in Morristown, and my other son lives in Hoboken. All are very hard workers. I love being together as a family, especially at the beach on Long Beach Island. I also enjoy traveling, reading, kayaking, and going places with my dog Stella! My favorite color is yellow! I enjoy being outside on the Columbia Trail, or exploring new places such as the High Line in New York City.
I have taught Special Education in New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. I have taught in Old Farmers Road School before I joined the teaching staff at B.A. Cucinella School. This is my 11th year in this building. You will find me in room 2102, near the art room upstairs. In my room, I teach ELA and Math in a resource setting. I also am an ICR teacher with the Grade 4 Teacher Team.
I hold a B.A in Elementary Education from Springfield College in MA, and an M.S. in Special Education from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. I have taken graduate level courses on reading, mindfulness, technology IMSE training, and the value of Read-Alouds beyond my Master’s degree. I frequently am exploring new methods and ideas online, and in discussion groups. I value education and hope to share that love of learning with your child.
Please do not hesitate to call or reach out to me if you have anything you wish to discuss. My email is [email protected]. I am looking forward to helping your child learn and grow!
