Biology Success Tips

1. Review interactive notebooks daily.
2. Study over notes each night.
3. Ask Questions.
4. Read over the Chapter before we begin notes and as we go through notes.
5. Make a graphic organizer using your activities. Write main ideas/topics on one side and draw a picture that helps you remember the main idea, or write the main idea in your own words.
6. Review Vocabulary. (Understanding vocabulary is essential to understanding the material).
7. Complete ALL assignments. 
8. Participate actively in class. (In groups, labs, daily tasks, etc).
9. Practice structures by drawing and labeling them.  Review function on a structure by creating a list of the parts and functions and relate the function to something in everyday life.
10. Read over the test carefully. Read all answer choices before making a selection.
11. When answering a constructive response question, write everything you know about the question. Provide as much detail as possible and include supporting evidence if available.
12. Be positive!
