Welcome to our Physcial Therapy District home page.
The Role of a Physical Therapist in Schools: Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School disrict provides Physical Therapy services to students with disabilities who require this related service to access their special education program as outlined in the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
Service Model: Therapy may be provided for students with disabilities 3 to 21 years of age who have qualified for school-based PT services. These services are provided based on the outcomes of the evaluation in order to support the students' special education program. The focus is on improving functional independence within the school setting. Our goal is for our student's to achieve their maximal level of independence post graduation. This can include: direct services in individual and/or group sessions or consultation. We work towards providing students with the strategies they need to reduce their dependence on others. When a student's goals have been achieved, accommodations/strategies have been established and no new goals are appropriate, Physical Therapy services are discontinued.
