Response to Intervention (RtI)
Mrs. Clemenson
2022-2023
Response to Intervention is a philosophy that is comprised of using student data to make better informed educational decisions regarding our students. My role as a Response to Intervention teacher includes: administering school wide benchmarks, analyzing the data that is collected from your child, assessing and addressing the needs of your child. I communicate with classroom teachers on a regular basis to ensure instruction is targeted to your child's needs. I will provide in person instruction for the 2022-2023 school year. This is our second year using a data collection program from Edmentum called Exact path.
Literacy Support: I will work on techniques that will improve your child's reading comprehension and fluency. Techniques include: scooping phrases, identifying parts of words, re-reading for understanding, and using context clues to figure out meanings of words and phrases. The Wilson reading System and Fundations will be utilized.
Math Spport: I will work with your child to help them memorize their math facts and work on specific skills that will help them attain application of these skills.
I am a Wilson Reading Certified Level 1 Practioner and use the Wilson Reading System as part of my daily routines with our students. I work closely with classroom teachers to promote awareness for students who may fall on the Dyslexia spectrum. I am one of the Dyslexia coaches on staff.
I am excited to work with you and your child. It is rewarding to see the enthusiasm in their learning everyday!
Respectfully yours,
Mrs. Sara Clemenson
