A little bit about me.....

Welcome to my website. This area of the site is to provide you with a little personal information about myself. If we know and understand one another, I think, we can work together more effectively .

I believe my job as an educator is to help young people learn to think for themselves, express their ideas, interpret the world around them, and become more aware and thoughtful humans. I love being part of this process. Not only do I get to watch students mature and grow over time, but as a result of getting to know them, I learn and grow too!

This is my fifth year teaching 4th grade at Aldrich School. However,  I am no stranger to Howell Township. Prior to teaching at Aldrich, I spent 2 years at Adelphia School teaching 1st grade and 3 years at Ramtown School in various capacities: basic skills, 2nd grade, and kindergarten. My teaching experience before coming to Howell Township includes having taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades as well as Pre-K/K and multi-age math (K-8) summer programs. I have a B.A. in Psychology from West Virginia University, Elementary Teaching Certification (K-8) from Immaculata University, and an M.A. in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certification from Georgian Court University.  All these experiences have led me here. Not only that, they have equipped me with the knowledge and tools I need to be an excellent teacher to the students at Aldrich School. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
