September 2024
Dear Third-Grader,
We hope you are enjoying your last few days of summer and are looking forward to the new school year as much as we are. This summer Mr. Swinsburg visited his favorite beach, Wildwood Crest, and also spent a few days with Mickey and friends at Disney World. Mrs. Hodge had a blast with her daughter at the Crayola Factory, spent a lot of time on house projects, and visited the Jersey Shore a few times. We can't wait to hear all about your summer during the first week of school!
Some students like to know what they can bring on the first day of school. The only supplies you need are:
- a folder for homework (we can provide you with one if you can’t get one of your own)
- wired headphones or earbuds that will fit into a standard headphone jack
- a picture of yourself
Although the school provides basic supplies, you may bring in your own personal supplies if you’d like to. We will provide a pencil box filled with 2 pencils, a bookmark, crayons, an eraser, a dry erase marker, a dry erase eraser, and a gluestick. We also encourage you to bring in a healthy nut-free snack every day so you don’t get hungry before lunchtime, which starts around 12:10. We look forward to meeting you and can't wait to get our fun-filled year started!
Sincerely,
Mr. Swinsburg and Mrs. Hodge
