Welcome to my class!
My name is Lisa Drexler and I have the privilege of being your teacher this year. This is my twelth year teaching in the Margate City School District. I began my teaching career in 1994 after graduating from LaSalle University with a degree in Education. I am certified as a Special Education Teacher (K-12) and an Elementary Education Teacher (K-8). I am also Highly Qualified in the State of New Jersey as a middle school Mathematics and Language Arts teacher. I recently earned my Masters Degree in Special Education from St. Joseph's University in 2019.
I have been a resident of Margate since 1999. I live here with my husband and three children, although two of my childen now spend most of their time in Washington D.C. attending school and working. We also have two dogs named Nathan and Oliver. I love living in Margate and I am thrilled to be able to teach here as well! When I am not busy being a mother, wife and teacher, I am usually reading a book or relaxing by the pool. I am a HUGE Phillies fan! I love going to games to cheer for my favorite team! I also love to go to Disney World. I feel like Mickey Mouse is another member of our family!
