Attached below is the link to my long entry using our read aloud: Walk Two Moons. There is another example using "Inside Out" a shared reading piece we read together in class. These are just some examples or ideas for what you can write long on.
Please review it and save to your computer so you can refer back to it. I will add more examples of writing long as we move forward with our mini lessons.
Remember...
Writing long is NOT a retell or summary of the story. You are using one of your post its and building off of that. This goal of writing long is to think deeply about your reading and reflecting about what you have read.
